Job summary

Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) in Wisconsin seeks a Senior Designer for Parts & Accessories. You will deliver CAD designs from concept through production release for motorcycle components, using Creo Parametric and PLM, while coordinating with engineers and cross-functional teams to meet quality, cost, and timing goals.

The role requires 5+ years in CAD design, knowledge of GD&T, and DFMA, with experience in large assemblies and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant CAD design experience.
• Demonstrated capabilities in CAD tools and PLM systems with large assemblies.
• Ability to deliver designs meeting quality, cost, and timing objectives.
• Understanding of engineering drawing standards and GD&T.
• Experience with manufacturability and assembly (DFMA).

Responsibilities

• Designs, integrates, and delivers motorcycle components from initial concept through production release.
• Creates and maintains CAD models, virtual assemblies, and detailed drawings using Creo Parametric.
• Collaborates with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to support design, development, and production.
• Delivers design solutions meeting project timing, performance objectives, and cost targets.
• Creates and processes engineering change notices in PLM systems.
• Develops documentation supporting drawings, tolerances, assembly docs, and manufacturing needs.
• Applies established design standards and GD&T principles.
• Considers manufacturing and service constraints in all design activity.
• Transfers CAD data between internal and external stakeholders as needed.
• Supports other designers and ensures consistent standards are applied.
• Facilitates cross-functional communication across Engineering, Product, Service, Manufacturing, and Sales.
