Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years automotive chassis design experience.
• Experience releasing components from concept to production.
• Hands-on prototype assembly, development, and debugging.
• Strong 3D CAD skills and project leadership.
• Willing to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of chassis structures from concept to production.
• Define component requirements based on performance, durability, ride, handling, NVH, and safety targets.
• Develop technology roadmaps and identify innovative solutions for future vehicle programs.
• Drive engineering excellence at both the system and component level with attention to detail.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers for optimal system integration.
• Coordinate virtual engineering activities and physical validation testing for robust designs.
• Partner with CAE to develop and optimize new vehicle architectures and structural concepts.
• Manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain and review DVP&R, DFMEA, interface diagrams, and boundary diagrams.
• Promote AI-driven engineering and simulation tools to reduce external testing needs.
• Investigate advanced joining and manufacturing technologies.
• Support technology, supplier, and system selection for future platforms.
