The role demands deep QA leadership in automotive chassis components, with travel 25%–75% and a focus on improving quality gates and risk management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in high-volume manufacturing or assembly with Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, R&D, or Manufacturing Engineering, incl. 6+ years in APQP/PPAP.
• Proven expertise industrializing chassis or complex metal components (forming, forging, stamping, extrusion, machining, casting, heat treatment, coatings).
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, DOE, DFM/A, root-cause analysis and corrective action.
• Willingness to travel globally 25%–75%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and improve supplier APQP execution from initial design through PPAP and mass production.
• Lead design and manufacturing reviews for chassis structures; integrate DFM/A requirements early.
• Drive supplier-owned engineering changes and production change activities; ensure validation and timing.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Incoming Quality, Material Planning, Purchasing, and Supplier Quality teams.
• Conduct supplier assessments, sourcing audits, process reviews, site inspections; establish improvement plans.
• Analyze supplier and assembly data to assess process capability and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain process documentation; ensure supplier quality aligns with ISO 9001 and AIAG/IATF 16949.
