Job summary

Hafnia in Houston seeks a commercially driven Chartering Manager/Senior Manager to join our global Commercial team. You will focus on vessel chartering across the Americas, marketing and employing the Hafnia Pool fleet in MR, LR1 and LR2 segments, in spot and time charters.

You will work with colleagues in Copenhagen, Singapore and Dubai, and collaborate with Operations and Technical teams to optimize TCE, balance ballast, and develop strategies for CPP, DPP and chemical cargoes.

Qualifications

Valid work permit for employment in USA.
Experience with Chartering in the Americas Market, including spot and time chartering of CPP, DPP and chemicals.
Strong analytical skills and a strong commercial mindset.
A strong ability to build customer relationships and collaborate across teams.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Spanish communication skills welcomed.
Excellent ability to navigate digital tools and platforms such as IMOS, SEDNA, Q88.com, Vortexa, Recap Manager, ICE chat, Signal Maritime, Baltic Exchange, Worldscale, SMHI and PowerBI.

Responsibilities

Manage vessel chartering with a focus on the Americas market.
Develop chartering strategies for Hafnia Pool vessels, including spot and time charters.
Negotiate spot fixtures and time charters to optimize income for principals.
Collaborate with global teams in Copenhagen, Singapore and Dubai, plus Operations and Technical teams.
Continuously improve cross-departmental processes and quality management.
