Job summary

Hafnia in Houston seeks an Operator to manage daily commercial operations for multiple vessel types, spanning chemical, CPP and DPP cargoes. You will coordinate bunkering, tank cleaning, port calls, and sanctions screening while driving efficiency and voyage performance in a fast-paced, multi-national setting.

You will work with colleagues across Operations, Technical, Commercial and Claims, bringing strong English communication, teamwork, and a proactive attitude to a globally connected team.

Qualifications

• Valid work permit for employment in USA.
• Minimum of 5 years of operational experience with a Ship Owner, Operator or Charterer.
• Experience could include sailing on an Oil/Chemical tanker (preferred).
• Self-driven and comfortable working independently in a high-intensity, multi-national environment.
• Ambitious and adaptable to change.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to navigate digital tools and platforms such as SEDNA, IMOS VIP and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Voyage bunker planning and tank cleaning responsibilities.
• Optimize cargo intake and stowage for various vessel types.
• Appoint agents and coordinate port calls and sanctions screening.
• Monitor speed and fuel consumption to maximize voyage performance and TCE.
• Collaborate with customers, pool partners, technical managers, agents, vessels and cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to fleet performance, emissions initiatives, and use of digital tools across Hafnia’s operations.
