Job summary

Hafnia in Houston is seeking a commercially driven Chartering Manager/Senior Manager to lead Americas chartering efforts, optimizing the pool fleet across MR, LR1 and LR2 segments in spot and time charters for CPP, DPP and chemicals.

You will collaborate with global teams in Copenhagen, Singapore and Dubai, develop market strategies, and negotiate fixtures to maximize TCE while minimizing idle time, with a strong emphasis on cross-departmental processes and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Valid work permit for employment in USA.
Experience with Chartering in the Americas Market including spot and time chartering of CPP, DPP and chemicals.
Strong analytical skills and a strong commercial mindset.
Ability to build customer relationships and collaborate across teams.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Spanish communication skills welcomed.

Responsibilities

Chartering of vessels with a focus on the Americas market, marketing and employing Hafnia Pool across MR, LR1 and LR2 in spot and time charters for CPP, DPP and chemicals.
Recommend and execute commercial strategies for the pool vessels, including charter market outlooks and future trades.
Propose FFAs and derivatives in relevant market segments.
Optimize TCE by employing vessels in the spot market and minimizing idle time.
Negotiate spot fixtures and time charters to maximize returns for principals.
Drive IMO 2-3 chemical cargoes and improve cross-departmental processes.
