Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Chargemaster/CDM specialist to build and maintain an accurate Charge-master across Mercy facilities, ensuring proper submission and government billing compliance. The role includes post-EPIC maintenance and collaboration with clinical and revenue teams.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in health information management or related field, 3–5 years healthcare experience, and EPIC certification within 2 years of hire. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience with emphasis in Health Information Management, Finance, Nursing or related field.
Significant experience in coding and CDM knowledge at an acute care hospital; awareness of payor mix for Mercy entities.
Experience with Fiscal Intermediary requirements across Mercy entities and CMS interpretation.
Three to five years health care experience.
EPIC certification required within 2 years of hire date.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain an accurate and complete Charge-master to ensure submission, reimbursement and compliance with governmental billing regulations across Mercy facilities.
Provide ongoing maintenance and support post EPIC implementation.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical and revenue teams to standardize the CDM and with the EPIC project team for implementations.
Perform duties consistent with Mercy mission, values and guiding principles.
