Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced release and change manager to plan, coordinate, and govern deployment activities across cross-functional teams for interface development and production support.

The role requires 8+ years in related fields, experience with Change Control Boards, and strong knowledge of Agile/SAFe methods, with familiarity in federal IT processes and VA-related programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of change management, release management, deployment coordination, or IT service management experience.
• Experience supporting Change Control Boards, release readiness reviews, implementation planning, approval workflows, and production deployments.
• Experience documenting release schedules, change records, impact assessments, risk considerations, implementation steps, and backout plans.
• Experience coordinating releases across development, test, security, configuration management, operations, and stakeholder teams.
• Experience supporting defect fixes, software upgrades, new interface releases, and implementation changes across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and govern change and release activities for interface development and production support.
• Develop release plans, implementation steps, approval packages, rollback plans, deployment coordination, and readiness communications.
• Align release activities with VA and FMBT change management processes.
• Support Change Control Boards and release readiness reviews.
• Coordinate releases across development, test, security, configuration management, operations, and stakeholder teams.
• Support defect fixes, software upgrades, new interface releases, and implementation changes across the project lifecycle.
