Job summary

Lyten, Inc. is seeking a Senior Composites Engineer to lead CFRP resin formulation and scale-up for prepregs, RTM, and related processes.

You’ll serve as the technical anchor between materials synthesis, product engineering, and manufacturing teams to deliver manufacturable resin systems that meet target specs. You will apply hands-on experience in composites to drive DoE-based optimization, perform thermal/mechanical testing, troubleshoot defects, and ensure drop-in compatibility with current

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: BS in Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Composite Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience; OR MS with 3+ years of experience; OR PhD with 1+ year of experience.
• Industry Focus: Direct, hands-on experience in commercial product development within the composites or polymers industry.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of polymer chemistry, resin formulation, and composite matrix design; experience with prepreg/RTM processing.

Responsibilities

• Formulation & Development: Design and formulate polymer matrix systems incorporating Lyten 3D Graphene to enhance CFRP properties.
• Cross-Functional Integration: Bridge materials synthesis, product engineering, and manufacturing; communicate results.
• Process Scale-Up & Validation: Move formulations from bench-top to pilot scale and into high-volume manufacturing; DoE optimization.
• Characterization & Testing: Conduct thermal, rheological, and mechanical testing to validate performance.
