Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the United States is seeking an experienced CFD Analyst to design, implement, and optimize CFD models for combustion devices and turbomachinery. You will predict thermal environments and structural loading, supporting design decisions and test plans within Blue Origin Engines.

The role requires collaboration with thermal and structural teams, proficiency with major CFD tools, and scripting to automate pre/post-processing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CFD experience in combustion systems or turbomachinery.
• Proficient with CFD codes (ANSYS Fluent/CFX, OpenFOAM).
• Experience deriving thermal/pressure boundary conditions for FEM analyses.
• Experience with scripting for pre/post-processing (Python, MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain CFD models for combustion devices and turbomachinery.
• Generate high-fidelity predictions of flow, temperature, and gradients.
• Derive CFD-based boundary conditions for FEM analyses.
• Collaborate with thermal and structural analysts to ensure integrated predictions.
• Anchor CFD models to test data and drive improvements.
