Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Senior Certification & Compliance Engineer to embed with product development teams, driving factory-to-field compliance for modular data center power solutions. You will lead certification strategy, coordinate NRTL interfaces, and oversee testing programs to ensure regulatory readiness from concept to listing.

The role requires deep knowledge of NEC, NFPA, UL listings, and industrial power equipment certification, with travel as needed to customer sites and Celestica

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of direct experience in regulatory compliance, standards engineering, or design-focused product safety roles.
• Proven track record certifying industrial power equipment, modular enclosures, grid-tied battery systems, or complex data center utility skids.

Responsibilities

• Embed with electrical, mechanical, and controls design engineers to guide layouts, spacing, components, and boundaries.
• Vet third-party components (switchgear, inverters, batteries, breakers) for listings and ratings.
• Ensure packaging designs respect NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and related safety boundaries.
• Define and execute the global product certification strategy for the full portfolio.
• Act as the primary technical contact with NRTL labs (UL, Intertek/ETL, CSA).
• Structure and oversee testing campaigns (dielectric, short-circuit, thermal runaways, ingress).
• Author and compile Technical Construction Files (TCF) and maintain traceability matrices.
• Coordinate production-line factory compliance tests with manufacturing teams.
