Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Senior Certification & Compliance Engineer to join our engineering team. This role embeds with product development from day one to ensure that modular data centers and power systems meet global regulatory requirements and permit readiness.

You will lead certification programs with UL, Intertek, and CSA, manage testing campaigns, and craft technical documentation. The ideal candidate has extensive NEC, NFPA, and UL experience and a proven ability to drive complex approvals

Qualifications

6+ years of direct experience in regulatory compliance, standards engineering, or design-focused product safety roles.
Proven track record certifying industrial power equipment, modular enclosures, or data-center utility skids.
Experience guiding a product through an initial NRTL listing campaign (e.g., UL or Intertek) from architecture kickoff to certificate issuance.

Responsibilities

Embed with cross-functional engineering teams to drive compliance-by-design across layouts, components, and safety boundaries.
Define, coordinate, and execute global product certification strategies with NRTL partners.
Manage testing campaigns including dielectric, short-circuit, thermal runaways, and environmental ingress.
Develop construction files and traceability matrices to demonstrate compliance.
