Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Central Sterile Technician to perform sterile processing of reusable medical devices and surgical instrumentation. Onsite at 102 Endicott Street, you will follow IFU, regulatory standards, and department procedures to support patient care and safety.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, 40 hours weekly. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; CRCST or CSPDT certification required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Licenses: CRCST or CSPDT certification required.
• Experience: 1–2 years in Central Sterile/healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable medical devices and surgical instruments.
• Operates sterile processing equipment, including washers and sterilizers, following policies and regulatory requirements.
• Inspects instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness; identifies items needing repair or replacement.
• Assembles instrument trays and procedure sets according to tray listings and quality standards.
• Uses instrument tracking systems to document processing and maintain traceability.
• Maintains inventory of sterile supplies and supports operational needs.
