Job summary

Baltimore County is seeking a Senior Affairs Associate III to supervise senior centers across a regional area and manage programs for older adults. You will oversee professional staff, program development, and partnerships, ensuring outcomes align with county goals.

The role involves budgeting, grant coordination, and evaluating services while coordinating county-wide events and virtual programming as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in gerontology, recreation, education, health, business or public administration.
Four years' experience serving older adults, including one year in a supervisory capacity.
Education beyond bachelor's can substitute for experience as allowed.

Responsibilities

Supervise senior centers in a designated area and oversee county-wide programs for seniors.
Recruit, train, supervise staff and volunteers; evaluate performance and provide guidance.
Plan, implement and evaluate county events and initiatives for senior centers.
Research trends to expand wellness programs for older adults in the network.
Oversee grants, contracts, MOUs with community partners and manage budgets.
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws/regulations.
Represent the department in meetings with agencies and community leaders.
