Anne Arundel County Office of Personnel is seeking a Senior Activity Center Director to manage a multi-purpose senior center, ensure program development and evaluation, and coordinate staff, volunteers, and instructors. You will lead outreach to seniors and partner organizations while overseeing budgeting and compliance with department policies.

The role requires a four-year degree in public or business administration or related field, plus 2+ years in program management within aging services.

Qualificações

• Education: Four-year college degree in public or business administration or related field.
• Two or more years in program management or public aging services management.
• The degree or coursework may substitute for up to four years of related experience in senior activity/ community center management.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises Senior Center staff and volunteers; conducts evaluations and supports staff development.
• Plans and programs classes and activities for seniors and their families.
• Recruits, hires, trains and retains instructors (paid and volunteer).
• Interacts with diverse publics and partners to meet outreach needs.
• Provides fiscal and administrative oversight of the center’s budget.
• Represents the department and county in professional settings.
• Develops emergency evacuation plans and coordinates center safety.
• Coordinates facility and grounds management and liaises with advisory boards.
