Job summary

Sandoval County is seeking a Senior Center Manager to plan, direct, and coordinate daily operations of the county's senior centers. You will supervise staff, ensure meals are prepared and delivered on schedule, manage donations, and maintain client records and transportation services in compliance with policy.

Under the Community Services Manager, Senior Programs, you will partner with finance to track budgets and funding timelines, conduct client assessments, and provide outreach and public

Qualifications

• Associates degree in gerontology, social work, community services, business/public administration or related field.
• Three years of experience in program supervision within a community service or health and human service program area with responsibility for planning and coordinating day-to-day operations, budget/fiscal administration and public relations/outreach.
• One year of staff supervisory responsibility; preferably in senior/elderly services.
• Equivalency may be considered in lieu of degree or experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work of assigned staff; assigns tasks and coordinates schedules and programs; provides feedback and evaluates performance.
• Coaches, trains, and motivates staff; manages employee relations and performance development.
• Manages operation of the Senior Center to meet rules and funding requirements.
• Works with Finance to ensure criteria, timelines, and fiscal responsibilities are met.
• Conducts client assessments and maintains files for services including transportation and meals.
• Oversees meals delivery, inventory, and building maintenance; coordinates outreach and newsletters.
