Colossal Biosciences is seeking a talented Research Associate in cell biology for work on derivation, characterization and gene editing in non-model mammalian organisms. The role is on-site in Dallas, TX with relocation assistance available.

You will derive and characterize stable cell lines, optimize culture conditions, and contribute to genome editing workflows while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to advance milestones and present findings to the group.

• Derive and characterize stable cell lines from primary tissues.
• Optimize cell culture conditions and delivery methods for gene editing.
• Maintain high-quality lab records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Derive and characterize stable cell lines from primary tissues.
• Microdissection for cell line derivations.
• Test novel cell culture conditions and delivery methods to optimize gene editing.
• Expand clonal lines for cryopreservation, genotyping and QC.
• Interrogate targeting, genotyping and QC workflows with team.
• Assist in making edited lines meeting QC for downstream SCNT.
• Plan, analyze and execute experiments to meet milestones.
• Prepare progress reports and present findings.
• Maintain organized lab records and documentation.
