Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior CEI Project Engineer for the Transportation Construction Engineering Inspection program in Central Florida (Orlando). You will direct complex inspection programs, plan and organize work, and review policies for conformance with standards.

You will lead a team of inspectors and controllers, manage meetings, reviews, pay apps, QA/QC, and schedule progress. A PE license and 10 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10 years related experience in construction including estimating, bidding, preparing purchase orders and subcontracts, scheduling, and field engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Bluebeam, estimating & scheduling software, and web-based document collaboration software.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Overall management and successful delivery of multi-million dollar projects.
• Acting as the primary liaison with contractor(s) on behalf of the client/owner as part of a CEI team.
• Leading a project team consisting of project controllers and inspectors responsible for contract administration and construction materials testing.
• Managing day-to-day activities such as progress meetings, submittal and RFI reviews, contractor pay applications, quality assurance testing and inspection, schedule reviews, and progress reporting.
• Coordinating with designers to resolve technical/engineering issues.
• Perform other duties as needed.
