Job summary

GFT is seeking a CEI Sr. Project Engineer for the Central Florida Expressway/FDOT within the Construction Management and CEI group in Central Florida.

The candidate will lead complex construction engineering inspection programs, coordinate with Owner/Contractor, and ensure projects meet FDOT standards and safety requirements. Ideal candidates have 6+ years of FDOT-related civil engineering and transportation project experience, with Florida PE license, MOT and CTQP certifications.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required.
• Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida.
• Six years of relevant engineering experience with FDOT road/bridge construction in Central Florida.
• Two years of transportation project experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain construction project records per FDOT procedures.
• Interface with Owner, Contractor, and staff on project aspects incl. contract changes and material testing.
• Support new project pursuits and oversee CM team.
• Organize project meetings and prepare reports.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and project logs.
• Review daily inspection reports and quantity computations.
• Direct CEI staff and oversee all construction project phases.
