Job summary

AECOM is seeking a CEI Senior Inspector to support transportation and infrastructure projects in Tallahassee, Florida. The role oversees construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, specifications and applicable regulations, performing field inspections and maintaining records.

Work involves coordinating with lower-level inspectors, providing guidance, and ensuring quality assurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
• Valid U.S. Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
• 4 years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction
• CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
• CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
• CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
• Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
• Relevant certifications are essential for ongoing advancement and enhanced opportunities for assignments

Responsibilities

• Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties
• Perform field surveying and construction layout, marking, and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests
• Coordinate and manage the lower level inspectors
• Perform work under the general supervision of the Project Administrator
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Responsible for setting own project deadlines
• Provides on the job training to new employees
• Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties
• Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records
• Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning
• Tracks quality assurance progress
• Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers
