Job summary

AECOM is seeking a CEI Construction Services Inspector to join our transportation team in the Fort Myers, Florida area. You will perform field inspections on roadway and bridge projects and support the delivery of quality construction engineering and inspection services.

The role requires attention to contract documents, daily inspection records, and coordination with senior inspectors. Strong communication in English is essential, with willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

High School Diploma plus 2 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid U.S Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
Due to the projects associated with the position a US Citizenship is required

Responsibilities

Inspect construction work and conduct field tests for compliance with contract documents
Assist Senior CEI Inspector in performance of duties and review of work in progress
Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties
Perform daily field inspections and maintain inspection records
Participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning
Track quality assurance progress
Conduct inspections of roadway and bridge construction
Monitor on-site construction activities
Conduct inspections, observations and run materials tests and checking construction work
Communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
Receive general supervision from and assist the Senior Inspector
