Job summary

AECOM is currently seeking a CEI Construction Services Inspector to join our transportation team in the Orlando, Florida area. This position offers the opportunity to work on roadway and bridge construction projects while delivering high-quality construction engineering and inspection services.

Responsibilities include inspecting construction work and conducting field tests for contract compliance, supporting the Senior CEI Inspector, monitoring quality and specifications, maintaining inspection

Qualifications

High School Diploma plus 2 years of related experience or equivalent experience/education.
Valid U.S Driver’s License required to visit project sites and offices; MVR review may be required.
US Citizenship required due to project requirements.

Responsibilities

Inspect construction work and conduct field tests for contract compliance.
Assist Senior CEI Inspector in duties and review work in progress.
Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements.
Perform daily field inspections and maintain inspection records.
Participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
Track quality assurance progress.
Conduct road and bridge construction inspections.
Monitor on-site construction activities.
Conduct inspections, observations and material tests; check construction work.
Communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
Receive general supervision from Senior Inspector.
