Job summary

AECOM is seeking a CEI Construction Services Inspector to join our transportation team in the Sarasota, Florida area. You will inspect roadway and bridge construction, perform field tests, and support delivery of high-quality inspection services.

Responsibilities include daily field inspections, quality tracking, and assisting the Senior Inspector. Requires a High School Diploma with 2 years of related experience and a valid US driver’s license; on-site work with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 2 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Valid U.S Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
• Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available for this position

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work and conduct field tests for compliance with contract documents
• Assist Senior CEI Inspector and review progress of work
• Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements
• Perform daily field inspections and maintain inspection records
• Participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning
• Track quality assurance progress
• Conduct on-site construction inspection of roadway and bridge work
• Monitor on-site construction activities
• Perform inspections, observations and run materials tests and check construction work
• Communicate effectively in English (oral and written)
• Receive general supervision from Senior Inspector

Education

HS Diploma with 2+ years related experience or equivalent
