Job summary

Volkert is seeking an experienced Senior CEI Inspector in St. Louis, MO to perform routine inspection work and ensure compliance with construction contracts. You will document inspections, conduct field materials testing, review truck tickets, and prepare daily reports under supervision of Resident Engineers.

A High School Diploma and strong LMC/bridge inspection experience are required, with flexibility for nights and weekends. MoDOT/local agency experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Significant experience with Latex Modified Concrete (LMC) bridge deck overlays and related CEI activities.
• Five years of construction inspection, with bridge/roadway inspection preferred.
• MoDOT and/or local agency inspection experience is a plus.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening; federal guidelines may apply.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory MVR.

Responsibilities

• Make and check engineering computations.
• Document/inspect construction work.
• Conduct field materials testing.
• Inspect truck load tickets for aggregates.
• Write daily inspection reports and document test results.
• Perform SWPPP inspections.
• Assist in record keeping and field measurements.
