Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Construction Rep II / CEI to support current and future projects in Central Florida. The role focuses on FDOT asphalt, concrete and earthwork inspection, with duties including reviewing plans, measuring quantities, and ensuring compliance with contract documents.

You will assist with field tasks, read drawings, supervise testing, communicate with the Resident Engineer, and use modern tools to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree or bachelor's in construction-related field with relevant experience.
• Knowledge of RFI, submittals, pay estimates and contract documents preferred.
• Experience with field inspection and material testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meeting agendas and minutes; track RFIs, submittals, pay estimates and deliverables.
• Assist field tasks to ensure conformance to plans and specs.
• Read and interpret drawings; identify discrepancies with contract documents.
• Review daily rapports and as-built markups; document progress with photos.
• Collaborate with Resident Engineer to resolve construction issues.
• Stay current with industry tech and GPS/Rover tools for inspection.
