Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an on-site Construction Inspector to support Transportation CEI projects across multiple locations in the United States. You will inspect roadways, bridges, drainage, erosion control, and maintenance/traffic, and perform complex calculations under limited supervision.

The role requires reading plans, ensuring conformance with plans and specs, and coordinating with project teams. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent, relevant certifications

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• NICET/ACI certifications may be required by client or jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections of construction to verify materials and processes meet plans and specs.
• Use advanced equipment and perform calculations for inspections.
• Review drawings and prepare for inspections.
• Document and communicate inspection results to supervisor.
• Lead and instruct junior inspectors when applicable.
