Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Network Services team. You will deploy and operate applications using CDNs from Akamai and Cloudflare, design, build, and run production services, and drive system design decisions to improve performance and reliability.

You'll mentor engineers, lead architecture efforts, and promote secure, scalable development practices across the team while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience owning CDN production systems and frameworks.
• Strong system design skills for distributed services and data stores.
• Experience with cloud environments, especially AWS.
• Knowledge of secure SDLC, CI/CD, monitoring and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Share expertise in designing and managing CDN applications with Cloudflare and/or Akamai.
• Develop IaC/GitOps-based automation.
• Lead system design efforts and produce architecture artifacts.
• Review code, coach engineers, and raise standards for testing and reliability.
• Build and maintain delivery pipelines with automated tests and quality gates.
