Job summary

JPMorganChase in Seattle seeks a Lead Software Engineer on the Network Services team to deploy and operate CDN-based applications using Akamai and Cloudflare. You will design, build, and run production services, drive system design decisions, and raise engineering standards across the team while partnering with stakeholders to improve performance, reliability, and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with CDN production systems and frameworks.
• Experience across distributed services, relational and NoSQL data stores, and messaging systems.
• Experience running services in the cloud (AWS).
• Strong secure SDLC, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response practices.
• Ability to influence through code reviews and mentoring.
• Familiar with AI-assisted development tools and validation practices.

Responsibilities

• Share expertise in designing and managing CDN applications with Cloudflare and Akamai.
• Develop IaC/GitOps-based automation.
• Apply responsible AI-assisted development workflows to accelerate delivery with discipline.
• Automate network services infrastructure and provisioning workflows, including API integrations and React-based UI components.
• Lead system design efforts and produce architecture artifacts for high-quality decisions.
• Review code, coach engineers, and raise standards across CI/CD, security, and reliability.
• Build and maintain delivery pipelines with automated tests and quality gates.
• Partner with internal teams and evaluate external vendors when beneficial.
• Foster an inclusive team culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Promote enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices with validation standards and reusable patterns.
