Job summary

KPC Santa Ana is seeking a Manager of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) to lead the CDI program, mentor staff, and drive documentation quality across the hospital. This full-time role focuses on DRG optimization, coding accuracy, OSHPD reporting, and education initiatives for physicians and coders.

Requirements include CCS certification, 5+ years coding experience in a hospital setting with 2+ years in supervision, and strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (3) years coding systems experience within a hospital setting; two (2) years supervisory experience required.
• Certification as Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required.
• Enrollment in CCS/RHIT/RHIA certification program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish policies to enhance reimbursement coding outcomes.
• Evaluate effectiveness of coding personnel and processes.
• Review and adjust reimbursement codes in financial reports.
• Mentor and manage CDI staff; ensure data accuracy and compliance.
