Qualifications

• Medical graduate with current license/certification.
• CCS certification preferred.
• CDIP and/or CCDS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient records.
• Ensure documentation reflects quality of care and regulatory reimbursement.
• Abstract and code inpatient and surgical data per ICD guidelines.
• Mentor coders and CDIs; support DRG optimization.
• Collaborate with medical staff to improve documentation.
• Participate in chart reviews and departmental meetings.
