Job summary

Parsons in the United States is seeking a Senior CBTC Systems Engineer to lead CBTC/ATC projects, craft technical specifications, and collaborate with clients to deliver advanced rail-control solutions.

The role involves design reviews, factory testing, field deployment, migration planning for CBTC/ATC on brownfield systems, and driving quality plans per industry standards. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field).
10+ years of experience in rail systems projects.
Licensed PE and/or PMP desirable.
Experience with IEEE/CENELEC/ISO standards.
Familiar with Hitachi, Siemens, and Alstom.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage complex rail systems projects within schedule and budget.
Prepare technical specifications for CBTC systems, including testing and maintenance.
Review system designs for transit projects.
Oversee factory testing and field implementation of train control subsystems.
Support migration and cutover planning for CBTC/ATC on brownfield systems.
Manage configuration and change management for CBTC procurements.
Develop system assurance and quality plans compliant with standards.
