Job summary

Stadler Signaling seeks a Senior Network and Radio Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of our CBTC signaling and communication systems in Atlanta. You will ensure safety, reliability, and performance while meeting customer requirements and industry standards.

You will design scalable Wi‑Fi networks, conduct site surveys, and oversee DCS architecture and security. Strong leadership and English proficiency are essential for collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Computer Science with wired/wireless specialization.
  • 10+ years of wireless network design and planning experience preferred, signaling experience valued.
  • Experience on large design-build projects for communications systems.
  • Ability to design scalable Wi-Fi networks for various environments.
  • Proficiency in RF spectrum analysis and interference mitigation.
  • Hands-on radio design experience and network configuration knowledge.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in English; German is a plus.
  • Relocation to Atlanta, GA may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and implement Wi‑Fi networks for optimal coverage, performance, and security.
  • Conduct site surveys to optimize AP placement and minimize interference.
  • Develop and implement template radio architectures aligned with customer specs.
  • Configure and optimize DCS for CBTC systems.
  • Evaluate DCS design and architecture focusing on security and reliability.
  • Lead and manage a team of DCS engineers, including resource planning and budgeting.
