Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Materials or related engineering.
• 5+ years catheter engineering experience in the medical device industry.
• Experience as Technical Lead on catheter development projects.
• Experience leading catheter transfer-to-manufacturing initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with catheter manufacturing processes and process development.
• Rapid prototyping experience required.
• Strong understanding of catheter materials, constructions, and performance.
• Experience in a regulated medical device environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and project leadership skills.
• End-to-end catheter development and manufacturing transfer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead on catheter development projects from concept through commercialization.
• Lead the design, development, testing, and optimization of catheter systems and components.
• Drive rapid prototyping to evaluate design concepts and accelerate product development.
• Develop and execute engineering plans, test strategies, and design verification activities.
• Partner with manufacturing teams to support catheter transfer-to-manufacturing initiatives and product launches.
• Lead process development activities, including assembly process development, optimization, troubleshooting, and scale-up.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges related to catheter design, manufacturability, performance, and reliability.
• Support process validation, design transfer, and production readiness activities.
• Provide technical mentorship and leadership across cross-functional teams.
