Job summary

HonorHealth seeks a Senior Scheduler for the Cardiac Cath Lab at Shea Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ. The role handles high-level scheduling for surgical and radiology procedures, preoperative education, and patient registration.

You will coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, and support staff to ensure accurate data and smooth patient flow. Ideal candidates bring 2–3 years of healthcare scheduling experience and familiarity with ICD-10/CPT coding; an associate degree or related healthcare

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience in healthcare scheduling/clerical with ICD10, CPT coding and knowledge of health care plan requirements.
• 2–3 years of experience as a scheduler in the healthcare field (preferred).
• Associate degree or higher in a related field and familiarity with operating room terms are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries and high-level procedures following physician privileges and block times; verify physician requests and data.
• Register patients, collect demographics, medical and financial information for care and billing.
• Coordinate surgery schedules with anesthesia and other departments; prepare patient preop classes and testing appointments.
• Process pre-registration and medical records, obtain signatures for authorization and financial responsibility.
• Run daily reports (charge audit, charge capture) to support management needs; assist with general departmental duties.
