Tenet Physician Resources, supporting Abrazo Biltmore Cardiology Camelback in Phoenix, seeks a dedicated scheduling professional to manage the entire surgical process, verify insurance, secure authorizations, and coordinate pre-operative labs and post-operative care.

You will work closely with surgeons and hospital staff, educate patients about planned procedures, ensure HIPAA compliance, and maintain accurate scheduling information to support smooth operations.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year working in medical insurance or healthcare related field; previous surgery scheduling experience strongly preferred.

Aufgaben

• Adheres to and supports Tenet Physician Resources' mission, policies, and procedures.
• Complies with the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and Privacy Standards.
• Supports the Corporate Compliance Program by knowledge of compliance responsibilities and reporting issues.
• Triage surgical candidates as required by physicians.
• Coordinate with hospital personnel to obtain information for surgery scheduling.
• Educate patients about planned surgery.
• Verify insurance information in the electronic system and obtain necessary authorizations prior to surgery.
• Coordinate with surgeons to obtain medical clearances and preoperative testing.
• Confirm and reschedule return appointments; notify manager of issues with patient accounts and insurance.
• Provide assistance to administrative or clinical staff as needed.
