Job summary

Hilton San Juan is seeking a Catering Manager to coordinate the delivery of food & beverage, meeting space, and ancillary services for social and corporate events. You will drive customer satisfaction and maximize the hotel’s profits.

Responsibilities include managing proposals and contracts, supervising catering logistics, negotiating with clients and vendors, supporting large events on-site, auditing charges, and ensuring compliance with Hilton standards.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• Four-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer relationships with proposals, contracts, and inquiries.
• Direct and supervise catering logistics for events.
• Represent the hotel, solicit and close local catering business.
• Negotiate contracts with clients and vendors within policy.
• Assist the Director in planning and on-site execution of large events.
• Audit checks, department charges and files for accuracy.
• Supervise staff in creating and distributing written materials.
• Ensure contracts, menus, letters and reports meet Hilton standards.
• Re-book functions and follow up with customers.
• Compile post-event Food and Beverage reports.
• Additional tasks as assigned by the General Manager or Catering Director.
