Job summary

Vizient, Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a Category Management Director to serve as the strategic leader and trusted advisor for assigned category portfolios.

You will develop category strategies, guide value analysis, and lead complex sourcing initiatives across stakeholders including clinicians, suppliers, and executives. This hybrid role requires strong negotiating and analytical skills, deep knowledge of AI tools applied to sourcing, and the ability to mentor teams while delivering measurable

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading complex sourcing and category management initiatives.
• Proven ability to influence executive, clinical, operational, and supplier stakeholders.
• Excellent negotiation and contracting experience with complex supplier agreements.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead comprehensive category strategies aligned with client priorities and objectives.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including RFI/RFP, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contracting.
• Facilitate discussions among physicians, clinicians, value analysis leaders, and executives to drive decisions.
• Provide mentoring and subject-matter leadership across cross-functional teams and initiatives.
