You will collaborate with global teams, vendors, and internal risk partners to strengthen AIG’s view of risk across natural perils and first party perils. The role emphasizes strong data and programming skills in R, Python, and SQL, plus a PhD or Master’s in a relevant field.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in Climate Science, Natural Hazards, or Applied Statistics.
• 3+ years in catastrophe research or model development; RMS experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of catastrophe modelling; ability to write model reviews and validations.

Responsabilités

• Lead innovative research on catastrophe risk, with a focus on peril regions most material to AIG.
• Support development of standardized best practices and risk strategy.
• Assist end-to-end catastrophe model evaluation: implement View of Risk and validate vendor models; propose adjustments.
