Job summary

COUNTRY Financial is seeking a Senior Catastrophe Claims Specialist to serve as a first responder on a dedicated CAT claims team. The role involves investigating and settling personal and commercial lines property claims in the field, with extensive travel and on-call deployment across the country.

Normal schedule is 10 straight twelve-hour days with four days off. The position allows for up to 90% field work and 10% office work, supporting claims workloads nationwide.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Part 107 drone license required within 5 months of start date; must pass exam within 3 attempts.
• Field work makes up ~90% of duties and 10% office work, depending on claims.
• Physical dexterity to walk, reach, climb and crawl to inspect damage.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds (property claims).
• Ability to climb access to two-plus story structures.
• Work may extend beyond normal business hours as needed.
• Typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.

Responsibilities

• Responds to deployment directives and travels to catastrophe areas to evaluate, negotiate, and settle personal and commercial lines property claims.
• Inspects property, evaluates damages, and prepares written estimates.
• Initiates contact with insureds and relevant parties to gather information and explain the claims process.
