Job summary

COUNTRY Financial is seeking a Senior Catastrophe Claims Specialist to serve on a dedicated CAT claims team. The role involves field investigations, interviewing insureds, and settling personal and commercial property claims across various locations with extensive travel, including Minneapolis and surrounding areas.

The position demands on-call availability, long deployments, and a strong ability to work independently in changing environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant catastrophe claims experience or equivalent.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Drone license Part 107 required within 5 months; must pass exam within 3 attempts.
• Work is split up to 90% field and 10% office, depending on claim type and territory.
• Must have the physical ability to inspect structures and operate in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to deployment directives and travel to catastrophe areas to evaluate, negotiate, and settle personal and commercial lines property claims.
• Investigate and complete physical inspections of property claims and prepare written estimates.
• Initiate first contact with insureds and relevant parties to gather information and explain the claims process.
