Job summary

Liberty Mutual’s Personal Lines Casualty team seeks a Senior Claims Specialist to manage attorney-represented auto and homeowner’s bodily injury claims. You will investigate, resolve, and provide timely service to policyholders.

The role offers hybrid work with on-site 2 days/month for local candidates or fully remote for those beyond 50 miles. Start date is January 11, 2027, and duties include collaboration with counsel, reserves, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 12-18 months of directly related experience.
• Ability to obtain proper licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Manages, investigates, and resolves claims. Investigates and evaluates coverage, liability, damages, and settles claims within prescribed authority levels.
• Identifies potential suspicious claims and refers to SIU and third party subrogation opportunities.
• Prepares for and attends trials, hearings and conferences and reports to Home Office and local management on status.
• Confers with trial counsel and prepares trial reports.
• Communicates with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to gather information and advise on proper course of action.
• Responds to written and telephone inquiries including status reports.
• Ensures adequacy of reserves and security of financial processing of claims
• Updates files and provides comprehensive reports as required.
• Responsible for managing practices and billing activities of outside and in-house counsel.
• Training is mandatory and attendance/engagement are emphasized.
