Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr Casualty Claims Intake Representative to manage the recording and triage of safety-related events, determine preliminary reserves, and guide junior staff through the claims lifecycle.

The role involves coordinating with claimants, adjusters, and legal teams, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely resolution while supporting risk mitigation across single-vehicle incidents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 2-3 years in HR, Claims, Insurance, or related field OR an associate's degree.
• Experience in a call center or insurance setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Field and process calls, emails, and notifications to create accurate event records and assess initial exposure.
• Assess information, identify gaps, and coordinate actions while ensuring policy and legal compliance.
• Document safety events accurately, monitor impact on finances and DOT safety rating, and support incident resolution.
• Identify events with potential exposure and set up early resolution with junior team members in mind.
• Support litigation preservation by collecting and organizing relevant data and evidence.
• Lead and mentor junior team members, coordinate training, and maintain team coverage.
