Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with up to 1 year of experience in Human Resources, Claims, Insurance, Emergency Dispatch, Customer Service, or related field, and/or military equivalent
• Ability to uphold a professional demeanor in all customer interactions, demonstrating empathy and patience
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and shifting priorities
• Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas
• Ability to capture and document relevant business information in an auditable, organized manner
• Typing at least 40 words per minute
• Ability to work with minimal direction
• Ability to analyze situations and reach productive decisions

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, claimants, adverse parties, law enforcement, witnesses, and internal stakeholders
• Identify cases with early resolution potential and engage appropriately to reduce escalation and attorney involvement
• Stay updated on industry changes, policy updates, regulations, and claims processing techniques
• Document safety events and analyze their impact on financial performance and DOT safety rating
• Provide investigative support to claims examiners with findings and documentation
• Preserve litigation-sensitive evidence and review media, law enforcement sites, and public databases
• Conduct analytical intake and early-stage claim assessment to determine appropriate actions
• Assign independent field adjusters based on facts and exposure
• Communicate with claimants, adjusters, and legal teams to enable timely resolutions
• Offer process feedback to improve information capture and system usability
• Coordinate drug/alcohol testing, medical treatment initiation, and escalation protocols
• Support colleagues and maintain a empathetic environment during and after event reporting
