Reece & Fortiline is hiring a Cash Reconciliation Accountant in Addison, TX. The role focuses on accurate and timely cash reconciliations across bank accounts and general ledger, with responsibility for journal entries and month-end close support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Seven+ years of hands-on cash reconciliation experience.
• Experience reconciling high-volume, complex cash activity across multiple bank accounts or entities.
• Trintech experience preferred but not required.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience with ERP and banking systems; Workday Financials preferred.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of high-volume bank and cash accounts to the general ledger and supporting systems.
• Research and resolve unmatched or unidentified cash activity, deposits in transit, outstanding checks, and timing differences.
• Prepare and post adjusting and correcting journal entries with clear documentation.
• Use Trintech Matcher to load data, monitor matching results, and support reconciliation workflows.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with cash reconciliations and rollforwards.
• Collaborate with Treasury, AP, AR, branch operations, IT, and auditors to resolve discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities to improve matching rules and automate manual activities.
• Assist with other cash accounting duties as assigned.
