Job summary

Deep Roots Charter School in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Lead Case Manager to oversee special education services, ensure high-quality IEP development, and manage timelines, data systems, and scheduling to support students' access.

Reporting to the Assistant Principal of Specialized Services, the LCM will lead documentation accuracy, coordinate evaluations, train and coach case managers, and partner with families, school teams, and external partners to promote equity and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of SPED law, IEPs, and compliance documentation.
• Strong communication skills to lead peers and manage timelines.
• Experience as a case manager with effective IEP development.
• Alignment with Deep Roots' anti-racist and inclusive education mission.

Responsibilities

• Maintain master tracker of all case manager caseloads and balance distribution.
• Map annual IEP evaluation and re-evaluation meetings for the year.
• Support scheduling, including intervention planning and reallocations.
• Write PTE and PTRE documents and ensure submission.
• Review IEP drafts and provide timely feedback.
• Attend IEP meetings and coach CMs on facilitation.
• Collaborate with school psychologists and related services providers.
• Ensure documentation for students in alternative placements.
• Train CMs on progress monitoring and data systems.
• Coordinate transportation requests with external providers.
