Job summary

Sanctuary for Families in New York City is seeking a Senior Case Manager to support the Immigration Intervention Project, providing social, case management, and advocacy services to immigrant survivors of gender-based violence.

You will work from the Manhattan office, collaborate with attorneys, mentor junior staff, and help clients access housing, benefits, and self-sufficiency while maintaining accurate records. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required; additional language preferred.
• Experience with immigrant survivors of gender-based violence or trafficking preferred.
• Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate case management services to improve safety and wellbeing.
• Mentor and train other case managers and interns/volunteers.
• Screen immigrant survivors to assess needs for public benefits.
• Collaborate with attorneys and immigration specialists on filings.
• Maintain accurate records in electronic databases.
• Provide administrative support to CSBG/DYCD team and IIP.
• Assist with OVS victim compensation applications and referrals.
• Refer clients to legal and social services as needed.
• Support OTDA eligibility screening and enrollment.
• Prepare requests for educational and financial assistance grants.
