Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3 years of relevant experience may substitute.
• Experience with CDBG housing and FEMA hazard mitigation is preferred.
• Ability to manage at least six Case Manager levels 1 or 2.
• Excellent written and oral communication, analytic and independent work skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex caseload of disaster recovery and housing assistance applicants.
• Conduct applicant intake, eligibility reviews, and case assessments.
• Verify ownership, occupancy, income, and other eligibility requirements.
• Analyze and resolve complex case issues, documentation deficiencies, and funding conflicts.
• Calculate and validate grant awards and assistance determinations.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with applicants, stakeholders, and program partners to resolve cases.
• Prepare closing documentation and support grant execution activities.
• Monitor case progress and communicate status updates.
• Identify barriers to participation or disbursement and address them.
• Document case activity and maintain electronic case files.
• Support quality assurance and provide guidance on program requirements.
