Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of full-time experience with the Department of Family and Protective Services, with a SSCC, in a child-placing agency, in a residential child-care operation, or as a conservatorship caseworker or foster adoptive home development worker for the department.
• Valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, and current auto insurance.
• DPS, DFPS, FBI, CBCU Eligibility Determination, and Child Abuse Clearance

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages unit operations to achieve goals and objectives for service delivery by monitoring caseloads and coordinating staff.
• Interprets program policy and procedures to unit staff, parents, courts and other stakeholders.
• Attends and participates in court hearings about the child and family and participates in supervisor on-call rotation.
• Supervises staff and provides ongoing supervision and professional development.
• Leads and develops staff through field visits, performance evaluation and training, while promoting cultural diversity.
