Job summary

Qualifications

• NY State RN License and Bachelor Degree required.
• Five years acute care experience in a similar setting.
• Experience in care management or managed care required.
• Working knowledge of observation, RAC, Cert, MAC.
• Understanding discharge planning and barriers to discharge.
• PRI Certification and leadership experience; weekend flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services within the care management team.
• Oversee Case Managers and Appeal Managers; set staff direction.
• Support department budget, utilization review, and systems.
• Mentor staff; participate in education and orientation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and discharge planning effectiveness.
