Job summary

State of California seeks a Supervisor I under general direction to apply public and business administration practices including personnel management, program analysis and evaluation, planning, and procurement. The role collaborates with multiple legal and administrative units and supervises analytical staff in Case Management.

Candidate will use ProLaw and Cognos, manage priorities in a deadline-driven setting, and contribute to process improvement across legal and support operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with business intelligence, report development, data analysis, and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of case management systems, preferably ProLaw or comparable legal case management applications.
• Ability to analyze business requirements, resolve complex reporting issues, and ensure data accuracy.
• Experience managing competing priorities, projects, and customer expectations in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication, collaboration, quality assurance, and process improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision of Case Management Section project supervisors (analytical support staff).
• Coordinate with CMS Supervisors, CMS technical staff, and Legal divisions to support the legal enterprise.
• Utilize ProLaw and Cognos for enterprise-wide case management and reporting tasks.
